The peacock mantis, like other mantises, can rotate its head 180 degrees because of a flexible joint between its head and thorax. This is great for hunting as is its two large compound eyes that give a wide field of vision. Its ear, on the other hand, and that’s singular, is on the underside of its belly in front of the hind legs.
