This is Leon the Lion, and he’s obviously one cat that takes great pride in his appearance.
With a perfectly coiffured mane of lusciously thick golden locks, it’s obvious why this Congolese lion has stood head and shoulders above all the other animals at Ústí nad Labem Zoo in the Czech Republic since 2005.
The handsome devil lives at the zoo—along with his sister Ronja and another younger female called Kivu—where his voluminous tresses receive many a generous compliment from admiring visitors.

So just how does Leon pull off such a glossy side-parting so effortlessly? It is believed keepers at the zoo do help him keep his mane in tip top condition and it’s certainly worth it; he looks magnificent!
One thing’s for sure though: if you’re planning on visiting Ústí nad Labem any time soon, we suggest you might want to Mufasa about it—after his recent brush with internet stardom, you can guarantee that Leon’s going to be the zoo’s mane attraction from here on out.
